Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

1. Fishery Development Officer under Fishery Department
No of posts: 47
Educational Qualification: B.F.Sc Degree from any College/University recognized by the I.C.A.R or D.F.Sc or Master of Science (Fisheries) from C.I.F.E. Mumbai or any other Institute of the I.C.A.R.
Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.

2. Medical Inspector of Factories under Labour and Welfare Department

Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma equivalent to a Degree of a recognized University in any branch of Medicine.
Experience: The candidates should have at least 2 (two) years in a Public Hospital or Factories, Medical Department or alternatively a Diploma in Industrial medicine.
Pay: Pay Band-4, Rs. 30,000-1,10,000/- (Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700/-)
Age: Candidates must not be below 23 (twenty three) years and above 43 (forty three) years on 01/01/2018. In case of ST/SC candidates the upper age is further relaxable by another 5(five) years as per Govt. OM.No.ABP. 06/2016/04,dtd.03/03/2016.

3. Director of Economics and Statistics under Transformation & Development Deptt.

Educational Qualification:
(a) Atleast 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Degree of a recognized University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as subject and a Diploma recognized by Govt. obtained after atleast 2(two) years Post Graduate training in Statistics.
Note: Doctorate of other research degree in Statistics, Mathematics & Economics is desirable.
(b) Not less than 10(ten) years experience in Statistical Works/Investigation/Research/ in a Govt. Deptt. or Commercial concern of repute or in conducting or guiding Research in Statistics in a University or Institute of Training & Research as evidenced by published work. Administrative experience for not less than 5 years in a responsible capacity.
Pay: Rs.30,000-1,10,000/- plus Grade pay of Rs.16900/- of PB- 4 plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules of Govt. of Assam.
Age: Not less than 35 years or more than 45 years as on 01-01-2018. Provided that for candidates belonging to the Assam Economics & Statistics service there shall be no upper age limit.

4. Veterinary Officer/Block Veterinary Officer under Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from any recognized University.

Applications are invited from intending candidates who are citizens of India as defined in the Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India in the prescribed form of Application available in Part – IX of the Assam Gazette for filling up of the following vacant posts under the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam.

No of posts : 42 posts [UR-19 OBC-11 STP-04 STH-02 SC-03, (Women Reservations: STP-2 STH-1 OBC-3 SC-1 UR-6)]

Age: Candidate should not be less than 22 (twenty two) yrs and not more than 43 (forty three) yrs. of age on 01-01-2018. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 yrs. in case of SC/ST candidate.

Educational Qualification : Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce from recognized university with 1 (one) year Diploma in Sport from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNS).

Disciplines: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Wushu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Lawn Tennis, Boxing, Archery, Gymnastics, Hockey, Table Tennis, Judo, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, and Cycling.

Pay: Pay Band-2 Rs.22,001- Rs.87,000 + GP Rs.9,100/- plus other allowances.

Selection Process: Candidate will have to appear for Written Test & Physical Ability Test at their own expenses, if and when called for.

i. One self addressed envelope of 22cm x 10cm affixing unused postal stamp of Rs. 5/-only.
ii. Self attested copies of all certificates in support of Educational Qualification, Age, Caste etc
iii. 2 (two) copies of recent passport size photographs duly self attested.
iv. Self attested copy of valid Registration Certificate of Employment Exchange.

N.B. 1. Ability to read, write and speak in Assamese is an essential qualification for recruitment to the post mentioned above. Provided that the said compulsory requirement of knowledge in Assamese including the ability to read, write and speak in Assamese for recruitment to the aforesaid posts, shall not be applicable to those candidates whose mother tongue is Bengali or any other Scheduled Tribal Languages of Assam.
